About us at Advantage Physiotherapy 

Our History

Our Little Chalfont, Amersham clinic is one of three clinics, which was opened in May 2009. Thankfully we have become a liked & trusted part of the community referred to by local GP’s consultants and local recommendations who have learned about us through the high-quality service we provide to private and referred clients.

Kelly

Strictly Come Dancing expert with a keen eye for detail

Kelly’s years of experience and extensive post grad training make her a great physio. Her attention to detail expand beyond physio to the dance steps of Strictly Come Dancing. Kelly completed a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from Manchester University in 2001. She then worked as a Senior Physio for 12 years at Watford General Hospital specialising in various musculoskeletal conditions. Kelly has training in spinal manipulation, sports massage, acupuncture, as well as several other specialisms. She enjoys keeping fit, attending the theatre and travelling.

Director, physio and coach to youngsters of Ruislip Rugby Club!

Paul enjoys keeping busy, treating patients, supporting staff, family life and working with medical professionals to offer the best physiotherapy care that Advantage Physio can offer. Outside work, Paul loves coaching rugby and the daft physical challenges he can do with his mates. Paul qualified in Sports Science at Brunel and Physiotherapy from East London University, and worked through various Mount Vernon Hospital departments before specialising in musculoskeletal conditions. Paul is interested in sports injuries, biomechanics of movement and post-op rehab.

Keen Musculoskeletal Physio, runner and women’s health physio

Laura qualified from the University of Brighton in 2004 gaining a BSc (Hons) in Physio. She experienced all areas of physiotherapy doing her rotations at Watford General Hospital.

She decided to specialise in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and now works for the NHS as a Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist as well as working privately in Little Chalfont Amersham.

In her spare time Laura enjoys family life, running, spinning, going to the gym as well as playing the piano occasionally.

Aspiring Rugby Player

Tom qualified from Brunel University BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. Since then completing his rotations at Watford General Hospital experiencing all areas of physiotherapy.

Tom enjoys specialising in MSK Physio and is now based in the musculoskeletal department at West Hertfordshire Therapy Unit as well as working with us at our Amersham practice.

Through his love of rugby he’s also been working alongside Hertfordshire county rugby working within the development performance pathway.

A keen rugby player, cyclist and general fitness fanatic!!

Alex gained a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from the University of Brighton in 2013. He started his career at Spire Bushey Hospital where he gained experience in a range of physiotherapy areas. Following this Alex, worked as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust.

A dedicated physio with a love of the outdoors

Sarah qualified in 1996, with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from King’s College. She started her career at The Hammersmith and Charing Cross Hospitals, before becoming team leader in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Sarah now divides her time between Ruislip Physiotherapy and a local NHS Trust.

Vicky graduated from Coventry University in 2004 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. She has worked in the NHS for a variety of local trusts. Vicky’s current role is as an Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner with a special interest in lower limb and lumbar spine musculoskeletal conditions.

Our South African connection and a keen rugby fan

Susan gained a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from the University of Cape Town in 1995. Since qualifying she has worked in both the UK and South Africa. In recent years Susan has focused on the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, orthopaedics and sports injuries.

Louisa runs Live Well Neuro Physio which offers clinic treatment at Ruislip Physiotherapy Practice. Louisa has many years of experience working with individuals following trauma and with long-term conditions. She offers a wide range of treatments to assist individuals.

Gemma provides sport massage part time at Ruislip Physio as well as a physio role at our local Ruislip Rugby club. Through her love of all things sport, knowledge and determination Gemma has the privilege of working with the England Sevens rugby team!

Helen graduated from Brunel University in 2008 with a first class honours and began her career working within the national health service currently residing as a Highly Specialist Physiotherapist in Pulmonary rehabilitation. Helen has 13 years physiotherapy experience ranging from cardiothoracics and critical care, heart and lung transplants, women’s health, neurology, orthopaedics, musculoskeletal, amputees, elderly care, community, and A&E.

Pali is passionate about helping people discover the joy of moving their bodies with ease and experiencing their potential.

Pali Kumari has been in the fitness business since 2011. After starting out as a personal trainer and Barre instructor she became increasingly fascinated by the biomechanics of movement in relation to health and fitness, leading her to study and teach Pilates.

Pilates Instructor

Shivani is a certified Pilates Teacher who is passionate about health and fitness. She offers small sized group classes at Ruislip Physiotherapy, online and private sessions at your home or online as well. She has been practicing Pilates for over 9 years and trained with the highly esteemed Body Control Pilates to achieve the Level 3 REPs Matwork Certification. She has attended and continues to attend various Pilates courses to keep herself up to date.

Adam began his journey with yoga eight years ago under the advice of his Physio. At the time, he was working in a corporate environment and playing competitive rugby, which was taking a toll on his body physically and mentally. His Physio believed yoga was an excellent method to help him reduce these stressful impacts. He is a qualified yoga teacher, master personal trainer and Pilates instructor combing his knowledge and experience  he supports you to achieve your goals.
